| We are the Murphy family from Maryland. We are Mark,Bonnie & family with 5 children ages 24,22,21,17,12. We had decided on our first newf about 1988 & since then we've been hooked on this wonderful breed. At that time we had smaller children & also had daycare & found the newf to be the perfect family/children dog. Bubbles was her name as she blew bubbles in her water bowl, she passed at age 13 yrs. We have now decided to breed Newfs and share this wonderful breed. My newfs are well cared for inside and out (never kenneled) They have plenty of room to run & play in fenced areas & also free to rome when were outside which is often. We have taught them to play hide n seek & we hide behind trees or in the woods & they will come find us, they love to play ball & swim in our streams on the property & also we take them to a big stream where it's deep enough to swim. We usually take 2-3 out at a time. My newfs are house trained with bells on door they paw to potty. They love to play in the snow with us & romp around with the kids. We have big buildings we call newf shacks which have been built or brought in then insulated, walls, heated, air conditioned, painted, curtains, newf posters, flooring, sliding door, windows, doogie doors to come & go into fenced area. We have made them just like bedrooms which they sleep in at night. We spend alot of time with them in & outside. When we expect a litter the mom is inside our home to keep close eye on & to whelp. Puppies are also born & raised in our home. We take turns sleeping on the couch right near the puppy room the first 2 weeks.We also have video/sound hook in all puppy rooms to watch 24/7 My oldest daughter was raised with the breed and now has her/my male newfs in her new home. She says there my only grandnewfchildren. Great new news for our family, we now have our first grandchild Samuel Gage born 10-25-07 We have plenty of help & lots of play & love for our dogs & puppies. We all take parts in delivering & caring for pups & mom. The newborn puppy room is inside & kept very clean as I don't work and I'm here to care for my babies. This gives me the time to pre-spoil them before you get them. It's alot of work but so much fun. I like when they start to run & play as they follow me everywhere in the yard, it's so cute. If we have more then one litter we do have daily help that can come in and play/care for puppies. We start taking puppies outside around 5 weeks (depending on weather) and start letting them explore different area's (yard,deck,back yard, kitchen) so they get use to being in different places which makes it easier when they come to you. Please feel free to ask me any questions now & in the future. We like to keep in touch with our families. We email picutres often & love updates, we are always here for questions. We have pups that are in water rescue training & also show which you can see on the past pup page. I give a nice package of info with all paper/vet/contract, toy, bone, leash, collar or harness. I send a nice new baby blanket with pups that fly. Puppies start deworming at age 4 & 6 weeks & visit the vets before leaving to get there check ups, listen to hearts & get shots. I do stand by my contract & believe in being honest. I want you to be happy with your new baby. We welcome visitors, please remember we are a family with school kids and lots to do here, as we love to show off our newfs by appointment. I update puppy pictures each week & any new info on puppy page. We like to meet our new puppy owners but will fly if needed. Please research the breed (read books, also info online) before deciding as we want good life time homes for our pups. They really need a fenced yard for free play. They are a wonderful breed but not for everyone,they are big dogs. I prefer my pups to go to limited registration homes but will sell with full AKC. | Were very excited about very nice new whelping room and large visiting room inside in our downstairs where we pretty much all live. This has two whelping rooms and a big play area for you to visit in. Pictures can be seen under newf shacks. It does have video camera's with sound. |
